Put your Salesforce CRM data to work inside Agentforce
Agentforce lives inside Salesforce, but an agent is only as useful as the data it can safely read and write. Emerge Digital wires your CRM — accounts, contacts, opportunities, cases, and the custom objects your business actually runs on — into your agents, with field-level permissions that decide what each one can see. The result is an agent that answers from the live record in front of it, updates it correctly, and hands off to a person when the situation calls for judgement rather than automation.
What this unlocks
- Agents read live CRM records — an account's open cases, a contact's history, an opportunity's stage — instead of a snapshot that is already out of date.
- Field-level and object permissions decide what each agent may see and change, so a customer-facing agent and an internal one can safely share the same org.
- The custom objects and fields your team built are first-class inputs, so the agent reasons over how your business is actually modelled.
- Writes go back to the record with an audit trail, so a person can see what the agent changed and why.
In the customer journey
Case triage on the live record
A service agent opens a case, reads the account's entitlement and recent history from the CRM, and proposes the next step — routing to a specialist when the case falls outside what it should resolve on its own.
Pipeline questions answered in context
A rep asks about an account and the agent reads the open opportunities, last activity, and owner straight from Salesforce, so the answer reflects the current pipeline rather than a stale export.
Clean writes back to the CRM
When an agent logs an interaction or updates a field, it writes to the same record the team works from, attributed and visible, so there is no shadow copy to reconcile later.
Why not Agentforce out of the box?
Agentforce ships with Salesforce, but out of the box it does not know which of your custom objects, field permissions, or process automations matter to your business. An unconfigured agent can read standard objects but cannot navigate the schema your team built, cannot distinguish what a customer-facing agent versus an internal one should see, and cannot write back with the attribution your audit trail requires. Emerge Digital's engagement is the configuration work that turns a blank Agentforce installation into a production system.
Salesforce is the system of record across the whole journey, so grounding agents in it keeps every stage consistent. In sales, agents work from the same pipeline the team sees; in service, they answer from the same case and entitlement data; and because every interaction writes back, the record stays the single source the next agent — human or AI — picks up from.
How Emerge integrates Salesforce
Emerge Digital designs the Agentforce data model as a consulting engagement: we map which objects and fields your agents need, set the permission sets that govern read and write access, and build the actions that let an agent do real work in the CRM safely. We do not hand you a generic template — we configure Agentforce around how your org is actually built, and we keep a person in the loop where the stakes warrant it.

FAQ
Isn't Agentforce already part of Salesforce — why is integration work needed?
Agentforce ships with Salesforce, but out of the box it does not know which of your objects, fields, and permissions matter. The work is designing what each agent may read and write, and building the actions it uses — that configuration is what makes it useful and safe.
Can agents change CRM records, or only read them?
Both, when you want them to. Emerge sets the permissions that decide read versus write per object and field, and writes are attributed so a person can review what changed.
Will an agent act outside its permissions?
No. Access is governed by Salesforce permission sets and field-level security, not by prompt wording — an agent can only touch the data and actions you have granted it.
Does Agentforce work with custom Salesforce objects and fields?
Yes. Agentforce can read and write to any standard or custom object in your org, subject to the permissions Emerge configures. The integration design maps your custom schema — the objects and fields your business actually built — so agents reason over how your CRM is really structured, not a generic data model.
How long does an Agentforce implementation take?
A focused engagement typically runs six to ten weeks: discovery of your CRM data model and use cases, designing the agent's permissions and actions, building and testing in a sandbox, and going live. Complexity scales with the number of agents, custom objects in scope, and whether the agents write back to the CRM or read only.
