Connect Netlify deployment data to Salesforce Agentforce
Netlify is the frontend hosting and deployment platform that agencies, SaaS teams, and development studios use to deploy, preview, and host web sites and Jamstack applications. Every push creates a deploy preview; production deployments take sites and applications live. For organisations delivering web work to clients on Netlify, the deployment status — whether a preview is ready for client review, whether a production deploy succeeded, whether a build failed — is directly connected to the client relationship. Salesforce holds the commercial record of those clients. When Emerge Digital connects Netlify to Agentforce, deployment and build context from Netlify is available to account and service agents during client conversations — and Salesforce commercial events coordinate with Netlify to provision the sites that new project wins require.
What this unlocks
- Build and deployment status during client conversations: when a client asks whether their site is live or whether a specific change has been deployed, an agent can read the Netlify deploy status for the relevant site — the production URL, the latest deploy timestamp, and whether the current deploy is the one the client is expecting — and confirm the deployment state with specifics.
- Deploy preview URLs surfaced for client review workflows: Netlify generates a unique preview URL for every branch and pull request — an agent can retrieve the current preview URL for a client's review branch and include it in a client communication or a Salesforce activity, so the client can access the preview without asking the development team for the link.
- Salesforce deal close triggers Netlify site creation for new project engagements: when a Salesforce opportunity closes for a new web project, an agent can create the Netlify site with the agreed repository connection, environment variables, and domain configuration — so the deployment infrastructure is in place when the project starts.
- Build failure creates a Salesforce task for the delivery team: when a Netlify build fails for a client site, an agent can create a Salesforce task for the relevant account or delivery team lead with the site name, the build error summary, and the client account context — so the team is alerted to a client-impacting build failure with the commercial context.
In the customer journey
Client asks if their site update is live — agent checks Netlify
A client calls asking whether the promotional page they approved yesterday has been published. The agent reads the Netlify deploy history for the client's site — the promotional page was deployed to production at 10:22am, the build completed in 47 seconds, and the live URL is active. The agent confirms the deployment to the client with the specific timestamp. The client does not need to wait for the development team to confirm.
New project win triggers Netlify site setup
A Salesforce opportunity closes for a new charity website project. The agent creates the Netlify site linked to the client's GitHub repository, configures the production domain and staging subdomain, sets the build command and publish directory from the agreed Next.js configuration, and notifies the delivery lead. The engineering team can make their first commit to a fully configured Netlify project.
Preview URL included in the client review notification
A design revision is ready for a client to review before going to production. The agent reads the Netlify deploy previews for the client's site — finds the preview for the current review branch — retrieves the URL and includes it in the Salesforce activity and the client email notification. The client receives a direct link to the preview rather than having to ask the team for the Netlify URL.
Why not Netlify's native integrations?
Netlify integrates with GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket for deployment triggers, and has Slack and email notifications for build events. These alert the development team. What they do not provide is Netlify deployment status, preview URL retrieval, and site configuration data queryable by a Salesforce Agentforce agent in real time during a client conversation: an account manager cannot ask Netlify's integrations for the current deployment status during a client status call, retrieve the preview URL for a review branch and include it in a Salesforce client communication, or create a Netlify site with the agreed configuration when a Salesforce deal closes. Emerge Digital builds the coordination layer that makes Netlify deployment context available to agents in client and commercial conversations.
Netlify's Agentforce integration is most active in the delivery and client review stages for digital agencies, freelance developers, and product studios that use Netlify for client site hosting. The preview URL retrieval use case is particularly relevant for agencies where client review of deploy previews is a regular part of the feedback and approval cycle.
How Emerge integrates Netlify
Emerge Digital connects Netlify to Salesforce Agentforce as a consulting engagement. We map which Netlify sites correspond to which Salesforce accounts, configure the deal-close site provisioning triggers, build the deployment and preview status retrieval for account agents, and define the build failure task creation logic. The integration is designed around your Netlify team structure and your Salesforce client delivery model.

FAQ
Can the agent trigger deploys or rollbacks in Netlify?
Pre-approved deploy triggers — for example, publishing a release that has been reviewed and signed off — can be made available through an approval workflow. Rollbacks and arbitrary deploy triggers require an engineering approval step. Agents surface deployment context and can initiate pre-approved triggers; they do not deploy autonomously.
We use Vercel rather than Netlify — can you build the same integration?
Yes. Emerge has an equivalent integration for Vercel. The deployment status in client conversations, deal-close project provisioning, and deployment case closure use cases are the same; the platform is different. Emerge builds to the frontend deployment platform your team uses.
We use Netlify for clients but our own site is hosted elsewhere — how do we separate access?
Netlify's site and team structure supports project-level access controls. The integration is designed so agents can only retrieve deployment context for Netlify sites associated with the relevant Salesforce account. Sites outside the mapped scope are not accessible to agents.
How long does a Netlify + Agentforce integration take?
A focused engagement typically runs three to five weeks: mapping Netlify sites to Salesforce accounts, configuring deal-close site provisioning, building deployment and preview status retrieval, defining build failure task creation, and testing client review, project provisioning, and deployment status scenarios.
