Why not Docker's native integrations?

Docker Hub, Docker Desktop, and the Docker Engine CLI have webhooks and API endpoints used within CI/CD and container orchestration workflows. These are suited to internal engineering automation. What they do not provide is Docker container state queryable by a Salesforce Agentforce agent in real time during a customer service conversation: a service agent cannot ask Docker's webhooks for the current health state of a specific customer's containers, detect a container restart and correlate it with an open Salesforce case, or trigger a customer environment deployment when a Salesforce opportunity closes. Kubernetes has its own memory, bringing richer state management — Emerge designs the integration around your specific orchestration environment.

We use Kubernetes rather than Docker Compose — can you connect Kubernetes directly?

Yes. Kubernetes is in the integration catalog and Emerge can build the equivalent integration for K8s-managed containerised services. The use case is the same — surfacing pod and deployment state in customer service conversations and triggering provisioning from Salesforce commercial events.

Can the agent restart containers or roll back image versions?

Infrastructure actions with availability implications stay with the engineering team. Agents surface container health data and identify the specific resource affected; they do not restart containers, roll back images, or modify environment configurations without an engineering-approved action step.

How long does a Docker + Agentforce integration take?
