Keep Agentforce consistent with your Confluence page of record

Confluence is where your team writes down how things actually work: spaces of pages covering product specs, runbooks, release notes, and the decisions behind them, each with a version history and an owner. When Emerge Digital connects it to Salesforce Agentforce, an agent's answer is grounded in the current page rather than someone's memory of it — and when the page is edited, the answer moves with it, because retrieval reads the documentation itself, not a copy.

All integrations

What this unlocks

  • Retrieval reads the current version of a page, so an answer reflects the latest edit rather than the draft a colleague half-remembers from last quarter.
  • Space-level scoping decides which documentation each agent draws from — an internal engineering space and a customer-facing agent never need to meet.
  • Answers trace to a page, so when someone questions a response the source is right there, and the correction is an edit to the page rather than a hunt through prompt wording.
  • Page trees and labels carry meaning about what a document covers, so retrieval can be scoped to the right corner of the wiki instead of trawling everything.

In the customer journey

Internal answers from the runbook

An employee asks how a process works, and the agent retrieves the relevant Confluence runbook and answers from its steps — routing to the page owner when the question falls outside what the documentation covers.

Service replies that match the spec

A support conversation touches a product behaviour, and the agent grounds its explanation in the specification your engineers keep in Confluence, so what the customer hears matches what the team actually built.

Gaps become a writing list

When agents repeatedly find no page to answer a recurring question from, that pattern shows precisely which documentation is missing — turning unanswered questions into a concrete backlog for the team's writers.

Confluence contributes mainly to Engage and Optimize: during service and internal support it keeps agent answers aligned with internal truth, and over time the questions agents cannot answer point at the pages worth writing next. It rarely touches Attract or Convert directly — its job is making every downstream answer match what the team has documented.

How Emerge integrates Confluence

Emerge Digital connects Confluence to Salesforce Agentforce as a consulting engagement, not a connector you enable and forget. We decide with you which spaces and page trees are in scope, build the retrieval so an answer cites the page it came from, and configure the permissions that keep restricted spaces out of reach of the wrong agent. Confluence remains the system your team edits; the engagement makes those edits the thing agents answer from.

How we structure an engagement

FAQ

We already have a customer help center — why connect Confluence too?

A help center holds what you publish outward; Confluence holds how things work internally — runbooks, specs, decision records. Connecting it lets agents answer employee questions and ground service explanations in that deeper documentation without publishing any of it.

Could an agent surface a restricted page?

No. What an agent can retrieve follows from the spaces and permissions configured in the integration, not from how a question happens to be phrased. Restricted spaces stay restricted.

Is this a ready-made Atlassian connector?

No. Emerge scopes your spaces, builds the retrieval, and sets the governance as a services engagement, designed around how your team's documentation is actually organised rather than assuming a standard layout.
